The Three Jacks / Trad.
“Follow Me Up to Carlow” is an 18th century Irish song commemorating a much earlier – briefly – successful revolt of the Irish against their English overlords. The reference to “Liza and her ladies” is to Queen Elizabeth I and her maids-in-waiting.

The song segues into a traditional Irish fiddle tune: “Swallowtail Jig.”
